{"id":16088,"date":"2026-02-18T13:12:18","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T10:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/?p=16088"},"modified":"2026-02-20T13:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T10:18:08","slug":"county-launches-training-of-350-youth-in-social-emotional-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/county-launches-training-of-350-youth-in-social-emotional-skills","title":{"rendered":"COUNTY LAUNCHES TRAINING OF 350 YOUTH IN SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The County Government of Uasin Gishu, in partnership with KISIP and the NYOTA program, has successfully completed a two-day handover exercise, transferring trainees from seven informal settlements to the designated trainers and trainer assistants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks the start of a 45-day intensive training program for over 350 youth identified from Maili Nne, Shauri Moyo, Mwanzo, Kipkaren, KK, Segero, and Kasarani informal settlements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is designed to equip participants with social-emotional skills that will empower them to become financially independent, socially responsible, and resilient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, and Urban Development, Edward Sawe, lauded the initiative, describing it as transformative.
