The Ministry of Agriculture and the County Government of Uasin Gishu are collaborating to ensure that farmers under the Borotet Cooperative Society receive farm inputs on time to support the ongoing planting season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two levels of government have assured farmers of an uninterrupted supply of inputs to the Borotet Cooperative store, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening agricultural productivity and enhancing food security in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during an engagement forum with farmers at Borotet, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Dr. Sam Kotut, acknowledged that challenges facing cooperative societies can directly affect the timely supply and distribution of inputs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He noted that Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii\u2019s administration is keen on ensuring the Borotet Cooperative store is adequately stocked with fertilizer and other essential farm inputs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Dr. Kotut, Governor Bii is in consultations with the National Ministry of Agriculture to address existing bottlenecks and guarantee that Borotet farmers access their inputs without delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Governor is committed to supporting our farmers through strong collaboration with the national government to ensure no farmer is left behind due to supply challenges,\u201d said Dr. Kotut.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Officer for Cooperatives, Mr. Ellphas Kesio, emphasized the need to strengthen cooperative management and governance to improve efficiency in input distribution. He assured members that the department is closely monitoring operations at the cooperative to enhance transparency, accountability, and service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
