{"id":14686,"date":"2025-11-05T16:01:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T13:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/?p=14686"},"modified":"2025-11-06T18:09:55","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T15:09:55","slug":"uasin-gishu-county-hospitals-receive-lifesaving-equipment-from-amref","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/uasin-gishu-county-hospitals-receive-lifesaving-equipment-from-amref","title":{"rendered":"UASIN GISHU COUNTY HOSPITALS RECEIVE LIFESAVING EQUIPMENT FROM AMREF"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a major boost to healthcare delivery, the County Government of Uasin Gishu on Wednesday received a consignment of vital medical equipment from AMREF Health Africa, aimed at strengthening the county\u2019s capacity to provide quality and efficient patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donation, which includes state-of-the-art patient monitors and oxygen analyzers, will be distributed to key health facilities such as Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital, Moi Bridge Hospital, Chepkanga Health Centre, and Chepkigen Health Centre, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking while receiving the equipment, Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Joseph Lagat, lauded AMREF for its continued partnership and unwavering support in improving healthcare services across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cThis generous contribution from AMREF will greatly enhance service delivery in our facilities. It will empower our healthcare workers with the tools they need to monitor patients effectively, especially in high-dependency and maternity units,\u201d said Lagat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure appreciation for AMREF\u2019s commitment to complementing the county government\u2019s efforts in strengthening health systems and saving lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr. Paul Wangwe, emphasized the importance of such collaborations in achieving sustainable healthcare outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cThe equipment will not only improve patient monitoring and emergency response but will also support preventive and promotive health programs through accurate data and timely interventions,\u201d said Dr. Wangwe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>On their part, Dr. Sarah Mwangi from the Ministry of Health and Mr. Titus Kiptai from AMREF Health Africa noted that the donation reflects AMREF\u2019s ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare systems in Kenya, particularly at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cAccess to reliable medical equipment is key to saving lives,\u201d said Kiptai. \u201cWe are proud to support Uasin Gishu County in advancing health equity and quality care for all.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative forms part of AMREF\u2019s broader mission to enhance healthcare infrastructure and build capacity within local communities\u2014ensuring that no patient is left behind due to a lack of essential medical tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this boost, Uasin Gishu County hospitals are now better equipped to deliver timely and lifesaving services, marking yet another milestone in Kenya\u2019s journey toward universal
