The County Department of Youth Affairs and Sports has partnered with the Kenya Football Federation (FKF) to revive the highly anticipated Governor’s Cup Football Tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spearheaded by Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii Chelilim, the tournament aligns with his vision to empower the youth and create opportunities for them to monetize their sporting talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the winning team will take home a cash prize of Ksh 500,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent meeting with FKF officials, the Department discussed and finalized the technical rules that will govern the tournament, which is set to kick off soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was chaired by the Chief Officer for Youth and Sports, CPA Victorine Kapkiai, and attended by the Director for Sports, Henry Mukolwe, and Leah Malot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament will start at the Ward level, progress to the Sub-County level, and culminate in the County Championship. The top four teams at each stage will receive awards and recognition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
