BII&#8217;S NGUZO 7 IN ACTION: Chepngoror Dam Desilting Brings Piped Water to Over 1,500 Residents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a major step towards fulfilling Nguzo Number 7 of his development blueprint, Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Dr. Jonathan Bii has delivered on his promise to expand access to clean and reliable water, ensuring that 60% of households in the county now enjoy piped water at their doorstep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chepng&#8217;oror Dam in Ainabkoi Sub-County underwent a successful desilting exercise covering approximately four acres. Water from the dam, whose upstream catchment lies within a forested area, has now been piped to serve more than 1,500 residents in the surrounding community an achievement hailed as a key milestone in the county\u2019s water access agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>To strengthen storage and distribution, the area is supported by two major facilities: the Tulwanin Tank with a capacity of 150m\u00b3 and the Chepngoror masonry tank, which holds 100m\u00b3. He noted that Chepng&#8217;oror is just one of more than 300 dams across Uasin Gishu County, many of which are scheduled for similar upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cThis project exemplifies the Governor\u2019s vision under Nguzo Number 7. Now, water flows right to our homes.
