Uasin Gishu County is currently experiencing heavy rains. The County Government team, activated by H.E. Dr. Jonathan Bii, EGH, to unblock and clear drainage systems, is actively offering services in the most affected areas and remains available to respond to emergencies across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, a team from the Department of Roads, Transport, and Public Works\u2014led by Director of Roads, Eng. Julius Ronoh, Director of Administration, Mark Tarus, and Deputy Director of Roads, Linus Yego\u2014inspected ongoing drainage unblocking works in parts of Kuinet\/Kapsuswa Ward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exercise aims to ensure the smooth flow of excess water and minimize damage, especially on roads. The team also assessed damages along the Kapleketet road, which has been earmarked for repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CECM Abraham Serem, noted that the ongoing exercise will not only help manage stormwater runoff and enhance public safety, but also improve lives by preventing waterborne diseases and protecting property from damage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This initiative aligns with H.E. Governor Bii\u2019s vision under Nguzo Kumi pillar number Six on infrastructure development, which seeks to facilitate economic growth, enable the efficient movement of people and goods, and boost agricultural productivity through a well-connected road network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
