Uasin Gishu Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii has reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to youth inclusivity in governance, saying it is key to securing a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking while flagging off youth for the International Youth Day celebrations in Eldoret, Dr. Bii emphasized that the youth agenda remains a central pillar of his governance. He noted that empowering young people is an investment in a brighter future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Bii said his administration values the input of the most active and energetic segment of society and has put in place various programs to help them thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have the Fanikisha Program, which provides a framework for, among other things, employing our youth,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“We also run continuous sensitization programs to help youth access procurement opportunities, as well as sports initiatives to support them in monetizing and developing their talents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also speaking at the event, Charlene Ruto, daughter of President Dr. William Ruto, urged young people to take advantage of government incentives available to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The job of any government is to create a conducive environment. It is upon us to seize and utilize the opportunities that abound,” she said, highlighting the digital sector as a major avenue for growth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Acting County Executive Committee Member for Youth Affairs, Eng. Lucy Ng’endo and her Chief Officer, CPA Victorine Kapkiai, outlined several programs the County Government has rolled out to benefit the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was also attended by Kaptagat Ward MCA Jonathan Ng\u2019etich, County Executives Martha Cheruto (Trade) and Anthony Sitienei (Water), Chief Officer Mark Some, City Manager Elzeba Busienei, and a host of directors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
