{"id":12570,"date":"2025-04-25T12:19:34","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T09:19:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/?p=12570"},"modified":"2025-04-25T12:19:35","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T09:19:35","slug":"road-infrastructure-development-program-underway-in-rehema-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/road-infrastructure-development-program-underway-in-rehema-area","title":{"rendered":"ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM UNDERWAY IN REHEMA AREA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The County Government of Uasin Gishu has reaffirmed its commitment to improving road infrastructure in Rehema area, Cheptiret-Kipchamo Ward, Kesses Sub-County, through an ongoing development program being undertaken by the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works.<br>\u200e<br>\u200eThe initiative aims to address long-standing challenges caused by the area&#8217;s terrain, which results in significant waterlogging during the rainy season. Joseph Lagat, noted that the project will continue inorder to cover the remaining lanes from 1 through 9.<br>\u200e<br><strong>\u200e\u201cAs a county, we are committed to completing all ongoing works. Proper drainage will be a priority to ensure efficient water flow downstream and prevent future road damage,\u201d said Eng. Lagat.<\/strong><br>\u200e<br>\u200eResidents, led by Dancan Silungai, Mary Mbone, Ivyne Samoei, Marasi Kibet, and Peter Kuria, welcomed the project, terming it a major step forward for the community. They noted that the intervention would greatly ease flooding on roads and farms, which has hindered movement and agricultural activities for years.<br>\u200e<br>\u200eThe ongoing roadworks are part of the county\u2019s broader agenda to boost rural connectivity and enhance accessibility to essential services across all wards.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p
