In a move aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency, County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Dr. Abraham Serem, highlighted the importance of the procedures manual, which serves as a single reference document for all financial procedures within the County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the County’s interdepartmental meeting on Public Financial Management (PFM) manual adaptation, Dr. Serem emphasized the need for clear financial guidelines to streamline operations and ensure accountability.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Serem stressed that effective planning and budgeting are crucial for the success of healthcare delivery, therefore pointing out that medical superintendents must plan their commodity schedules well in advance to avoid shortages or delays in essential supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Micah Rogony, the Finance County Executive, took the opportunity to call on members of the public to register with the Social Health Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTimely registration with the Authority will not only guarantee better healthcare services but also reduce the reliance on waiver grants, which have long been a norm,\u201d Rogony explained, emphasizing that this initiative is key to improving the efficiency and sustainability of the county\u2019s healthcare system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Paul Wangwe, the Chief Officer for Preventive and Promotive Health, highlighted the growing need to develop a robust waiver policy, stressing that such a policy would provide crucial support to the most vulnerable populations, ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing essential healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
