The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) team, headed by Celestine Kaseve, presented plans for a new 400kV transmission power line connecting Lessos to Lossuk, Samburu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project will benefit several communities, including Tulwet, Chuiyat, Tarakwa, Kapkoi, and Kipkabus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed strong support, assuring the community of full cooperation from the county government.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Silas Leting, Director of Energy, also attended, emphasizing that the department is working on completing an energy policy and a Reticulation Act to streamline energy resources within the county. He reassured the KETRACO team of the department’s commitment to public participation and supporting the program’s implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ambitious project aims to improve the region’s electricity infrastructure, ensuring a stable power supply and creating employment opportunities for the youth. It also aligns with Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim\u2019s Nguzo Number 7, reinforcing his commitment to the area’s growth and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
