Uasin Gishu County Government has officially handed over the Kaptich Dairy Water Project in Kiplombe Ward, Turbo Sub-county to a contractor, marking a major step toward improving water access for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, expected to benefit more than 600 households, Kiplombe Health Center, and nearby institutions, involves spring protection, constructing a pump house, installing a solar-powered pumping system, installing elevated steel storage tank and laying distribution pipelines to ensure a steady supply of clean water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Kiplombe Ward MCA Gilbert Lagat urged residents to support the initiative to ensure smooth implementation and timely completion. County engineers Tabitha Kipnyango and Boaz Korelach will oversee the project’s execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, officials also inspected the ongoing Lolosio\/Ng\u2019echek Water Project, where the first phase has been completed, enabling residents to fetch water from communal distribution points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second phase will extend pipelines to individual households, further easing access to clean water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents welcomed the development, with community member Mama Riziki expressing gratitude for the county\u2019s commitment to improving water access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aligns with Uasin Gishu County\u2019s “Nguzo 7” agenda, which prioritizes water access, sanitation, environmental conservation, and sustainable resource management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
