Uasin Gishu County Deputy Governor Hon. Evans Kapkea has lauded the implementation Committee towards ensuring a successful implementation of the Second Kenya Devolution Support Program (KDSP II).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DG reiterated that he has confidence in the team and assured that the program will make our 5th City proud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I must commend the team and I give you total support, ” the achievements will allow us to further strengthen service delivery and governance ensuring meaningful progress,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Secretary Mr. Ambrose Tarus stated that ( KDSP 11) is a four-year performance-based grant program from the central government to counties that is supported by the World Bank.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“The program focuses on enhancing county revenue mobilization, improving expenditure management, and strengthening intergovernmental coordination. It also aims to improve institutional performance and human resource management at the county level, ” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Tarus said that before the disbursement of the grant counties, we have to meet minimum conditions to be eligible to access the fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Executive Committee Member for Finance Micah Rogony noted that the Independent verification of the achievement of minimum access conditions carried out today by the Independent Verification Assessor (IVA) was a success.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“The County Government of Uasin Gishu has met all the minimum requirements for the KDSP II Level I grant that the governor signed a Participation Agreement with the Principal Secretary State Department for Devolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The establishment of the Program management structures County Program Steering Committee (CPSC), County Program Technical Committee (CPTC), County Program Implementation Unit (CPIU) and the approved annual work plans, budgets and cash flow plans prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official from an Independent Verification Unit Urbanus Mbindyo, Directors, Governors Delivery Unity, procurement, Economic Planning, Social workers Officers and the head of Customer Care Service were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
