Residents of Olare Ainabkoi Ward in Uasin Gishu County are set to benefit from a transformative water project aimed at improving access to clean and safe water, as part of the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative, which was officially launched to mark a significant step in addressing water scarcity and climate change, impacts the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon. Gilbert Chepkonga, the Member of the County Assembly for Ainabkoi Olare Ward, joined Ms. Mercy Kemboi, the Climate Change Unit Officer for Ainabkoi Sub-County, and representatives from the FLLoCA Committee, including Vice Chair Mr. Abraham Boit, in handing over the project site to the contractor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“With this new project, Ainabkoi Olare ward will experience improved water availability, contributing to better living standards for the local population,” said Hon. Chepkong’a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kimuruk Chepngoror Water Project, part of this initiative, will serve over 200 households with a 2.5 km network of pipes for water distribution. Ms. Kemboi states, “This project will significantly improve the community’s access to potable water, ensuring long-term benefits for public health, climate resilience, and socioeconomic development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the project progresses, the community looks forward to the positive impacts of reliable access to clean water in enhancing their health and livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
