{"id":11263,"date":"2024-12-11T17:07:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T14:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/?p=11263"},"modified":"2024-12-13T10:11:14","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T07:11:14","slug":"eldoret-city-to-host-98th-national-kenya-music-and-cultural-festivals-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/eldoret-city-to-host-98th-national-kenya-music-and-cultural-festivals-2025","title":{"rendered":"ELDORET CITY TO HOST 98TH NATIONAL KENYA MUSIC AND CULTURAL FESTIVALS 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Eldoret City, the capital of Uasin Gishu County, will host the 98th edition of the National Kenya Music and Cultural Festivals in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement was made during the Winners&#8217; Concert of the 97th Kenya Music and Cultural Festivals 2024 at Bomas of Kenya, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Among the standout performers at the festival, the Sisto Cultural Dancers were honoured with a Kshs.100,000 cash award for their exceptional performance, alongside Fred Omondi and Sarah Ayier, both from Uasin Gishu, who received Ksh 50,000 each.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The 97th edition of the festivals, held in Voi, Taita Taveta County, saw Uasin Gishu emerge as the second-best county overall. Kakamega County secured the top spot, while Nairobi finished in third place. Last year, the county secured second place in Wote, Makueni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dakane expressed his pride and gratitude to all the participating teams: \u201cWe are immensely proud of our teams for their hard work and perseverance.
