County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Dr. Abraham Serem on Tuesday morning hosted Dr. Lucy Musyoka, Deputy Director of the Medical Services Division for Cancer and Non-Communicable Diseases from the Ministry of Health to discuss on critical assessment of cardiometabolic diseases as part of the expansive Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Dr. Serem emphasized the pivotal role of patient satisfaction in effectively managing cardiometabolic diseases, which include conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Assessing patient satisfaction is key in managing cardiometabolic diseases therefore the need for a patient-centered approach in healthcare,”said Dr Serem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Serem noted that PEP project aims to compile comprehensive data on patient experiences regarding access to services and the quality of care available in the prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On his part, Dr Musyoka highlighted the need to understanding the current state of healthcare delivery by enhancing the capacity of health professionals to address non-communicable diseases effectively adding that the project stands as a beacon of hope for many in the community, promising improved health outcomes through dedicated research and attention to patient needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are currently undertaking data collection from Uasin Gishu County Hospital and other facilities, which will be instrumental in enhancing the education of health professionals,” Dr. Musyoka explained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
